Working out how long a benefit was available for P11D purposes

How to use the Calculator:

  1. Select the date that the benefit was first available.
  2. Select the date that the benefit was last available.
  3. Enter the cash equivalent value for the tax year.
  4. Press the 'Calculate' button
  5. The number that appears in the first box is the number of days the benefit was available - followed by the apportioned cash equivalent value.
  6. The number that appears in the second box is the number of days the benefit was unavailable - followed by the apportioned cash equivalent value.
  7. This represents the apportioned cash equivalent  for P11D purposes - always round pence in favour of employee.
Please Note: Both dates must be within the same tax year. e.g. 6 April 2009 - 5 April 2010
