Working out how long a benefit was available for P11D purposes
How to use the Calculator:
- Select the date that the benefit was first available.
- Select the date that the benefit was last available.
- Enter the cash equivalent value for the tax year.
- Press the 'Calculate' button
- The number that appears in the first box is the number of days the benefit was available - followed by the apportioned cash equivalent value.
- The number that appears in the second box is the number of days the benefit was unavailable - followed by the apportioned cash equivalent value.
- This represents the apportioned cash equivalent for P11D purposes - always round pence in favour of employee.
Please Note: Both dates must be within the same tax year. e.g. 6 April 2009 - 5 April 2010
