Kate was Payroll Legislation Manager at M&S prior to becoming Policy & Research Manager at the Institute of Payroll Professionals. She is a much sought after conference speaker and regularly writes articles and edits publications on legislative issues in both Payroll and Employment Law. She also provides mentoring support to payroll professionals.
Rose Howley MIPP Dip
Rose has over twenty years' experience in accountancy, payroll and training throughout a career which started in local government. Rose worked as a Tutor for the Institute of Payroll Professionals developing her presentation skills across the full range of payroll courses. Rose is a member of the Payroll Institute of Ireland and has also developed an expertise in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man payroll courses.

A long career as a personnel manager for a top PLC, specialising in personnel and payroll information systems, is the background to Ian's current work as a writer and lecturer in HR and payroll matters. Tim has twenty years' experience in managing large payroll departments predominantly in the public sector and has processed payrolls from Dundee to Entebbe, Jamaica to Western Australia. Bob Patchett BA(Hons) FCIPD, MCMI
Bob has spent most of his career heading up the HR function in two major conglomerates, specialising in industrial relations and employment law. He set up his own HR consultancy in 1988 and now advises clients throughout the UK and Ireland on employment problems. His writing is published extensively throughout the World and he also presents courses and seminars on employment law. He has led courses for HRD & Payroll Solutions for over ten years.
Vince Ashall MSc
Vince has over thirty years’ experience in payroll and pensions, most of it within the NHS and therefore brings a wealth of practical payroll experience to our team. He holds an MSc in Payroll Management and has also served as a Member Nominated Trustee of company Defined Benefit pension scheme for over 10 years.
Alan Marshall
Alan brings many years practical experience of payroll at the highest level to our team. He has been involved in Payroll Management of not only UK payrolls but also expatriate payrolls with blue chip organisations, not just having responsibility for the payroll but also sourcing and implementing large scale payroll systems. He is an accomplished trainer and author.
